Charles H. Southworth

Chuck, is Founder/Principal for The Southworth Group, LLC a Florida based agency consultancy and brand building practice.

Chuck was previously Partner and General Manager of Yesawich, Pepperdine & Brown and Russell (YPB&R), Florida’s largest privately owned advertising and marketing communications firm. In this capacity he managed all operating divisions and created YPB&Ri, the agency’s very successful interactive media group.

Prior to joining YPB&R Chuck spent 6 years as a senior member of two prominent marketing communications agencies leading their Technology and Administrative Services units: The Martin Agency, Richmond, Va. and the Ketchum Division of Omni Group, New York, NY.

Chuck has international experience managing Cap/Gemini offices in London, UK and Pittsburgh, Pa. In this capacity Chuck was responsible for a number of significant Y2K Conversions and sales in excess of $40MM.

Chuck was also CIO for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Pa. where he lead their technology growth and expansion culminating with consolidating 3 major data centers and managing a staff of over 500 FTE’s with an operating budget in excess of $30MM.

Chuck is past Chairperson of the 4A’s Technology Committee and a frequent speaker at various technology and industry conferences. He has been featured twice on the cover of CIO magazine and is a frequent contributor to CIO Online.

Chuck and his wife Nonnie reside in Orlando where he occasionally plays golf and enjoys spending time adding to his collection of Abraham Lincoln memorabilia.

He received a B.S. and MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. He is also a member of the American Quality Control Society and has been awarded his CIA, CSP and CDP certifications.
